Amanat Insurance company and online taxi booking service Yandex.Taxi have declared of their partnership
Yandex. Taxi has launched its own program of drivers’ and passengers’ life and health insurance, insurance is automatically distributed to all trips booked via service. Passengers and drivers are separately insured on sum not exceeding 2,5 million KZT. Insurance will not affect the costs for service use, they will not change.
The law does not bind aggregators to insure passengers and drivers of their partners-carriers, but Yandex.Taxi initiated and launched its own trips insurance program.
Amanat Insurance company, known for its first-class service, supported such idea and became one of the partners. Amanat encourages other aggregators, which operate in Kazakhstan, follow its example and provide for insurance of passengers and drivers.
«We were curious about this initiative due to concern of Yandex. Taxi for passengers and drivers. Such position is close to our business vision. We also propose our customers not only insurance products but care and additional free services. Any client, who purchases our insurance, gets bonus, i.e. twenty-four-seven free technical assistance (engine start if battery is dead; fuel reloading if finished on way, tire inflation/change) and can also call the two truck even in case of mechanical failure”, commented Yergali Begimbetov, Chairman of the Board. “We hope that launching own insurance program Yandex.Taxi will gradually improve protection of the Kazakhstan citizens’ interests who use services in the part of life and health insurance”.
